Casa Feliz Cakes and Pastries

It's past 6pm when I finished all my errands for that day and I've been missing my boyfriend for days, so I decided to have a short yet quality time with my boyfriend (luckily, he doesn't have work on that day). And I'm also starving because of all the stress I went through  that day, so I need good food/s to eat and the sweetest person to be with.

My boyfriend let me decides where do I want to dine in. That fast I decided to go to CASA FELIZ, coz I'm craving for cakes and delish new meals to try and I also love the ambiance and the free wifi!!

On our way to casa, we passed by Kowloon House. I actually decided to buy their beef siomai which cost Php50.00 for 3 pieces. Yeah! its quite expensive than the typical siomais we normally see. But mind you their siomais are big (like 2 siomais combined) and very delish!!
Kowloon's beef siomai Php50.00/3 pc.
When we got there, numerous customers are present and luckily we got good seats in front of the television to watched the news. My boyfriend and I felt like where in a restaurant cos waiters let us chose where to seat and even escorted us, and handed us their menu book (the first time when we eat there, there's no menu book at all, they let you order in their cashier booth, good move huh!)

I was so hungry that I wanted to order all! But I boiled down in ordering these:
 Crunchy Fries (Php30.00)
 Cordon Bleu (Php70.00) w/ rice (Php18.00)
Vida Verde Tea Pistachio (Php 86.00)
Refreshing Green Tea with Pistachio wafer, topped with fresh or seasonal fruits (Kiwi) – offers a valuable anti-oxidant.
For my drink I ordered water, so it's free haha!
------
And my boyfriend ordered these:
Palabok Espesyal (Php60.00)
Banana Creama Pie (Php32.00)
Banana slices and custard on graham cracker crust topped with whipped cream and toffee caramel sauce.
For his drink he ordered an Iced tea which cost Php28.00.

More photos of CASA FELIZ:

P.S: I'm not contented with what I ate that night so I bring home myself with these:

 Quezo Royale (blueberry)

My bro's Fettuccine Alfredo

Pasta flavor of the month. Our resident chef, my brother.

Ingredients preparation:
fetuccine pasta noodle
olive oil
sweet style ham (optional)
 chicken (cut into bits)
mushroom
 parsley
all-purpose cream. evaporated milk (optional)
edam cheese

Cooking proper:
bring to boil the pasta noodle until al dente. Drain.
bring to boil the chicken until tender.wait until its cool and you cut it in bits.

The sauce:
olive oil, butter, chicken bits, mushroom, cream, evap, salt & pepper to taste, cheese

 Yiyeah my bro's fettuccine alfredo!!!
i'm his helper by the way ;)

Who was Alfredo then? Alfredo di Lelio, this was his full name, was an inspired cook who proposed this new exciting dish in the restaurant he opened in Rome in 1914. It was a high gourmet preparation in the Roman tradition of simplicity. Apparently he created his Fettuccine all’Alfredo when his wife lost her appetite during her pregnancy. To bring back her appetite he prepared for her a nutritious dish of egg fettuccine with parmigiano cheese and butter. That probably gave him the idea for his “triple butter” fettuccine.
He was an extravagant character who used to personally serve his paper-thin fettuccine with golden forks, apparently donated to him by Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks, the famous silent movie stars. In the fifties and sixties, Hollywood discovered Rome. Paparazzi photographers took photos of actors such as Tyrone Power, Ava Gardner, Richard Burton, Liz Taylor, or Sophia Loren in front of a plate of Fettuccine all’Alfredo, making his restaurant famous all around the world. The restaurant is now run buy his grandson, and the golden forks are still used to serve this dish for special occasions.

Cafe Lidia Calumpang

I've been to Cafe Lidia twice already and the feeling of a newbie is still rising whenever I enter their cafe. It has a homey and sophisticated ambiance. Cafe Lidia offers American, Italian and own style of foods that their customers will surely love and will keep them coming back. The food is an "A"! Their different varieties of cakes is a must see and a must taste too. The cake is not that too sweet like others have.

The cafe also has wifi so you can bring your wifi phones, ipad and laptop if you want to relax and escape from the busy world of the metro.

A very heartwarming scene, father-daughter bonding <3
Interior design

i designed it myself, does it look lovely? nah!
Pizza Lidia FTW!
If only I got that big appetite again I can surely eat it all in just one seating.
Caught my attention the most. Their label seems familiar, though lacking a letter.
My chocolate dream cake
With my tummy buddy <3

Where is Cafe Lidia?
☛ Cafe Lidia is located at 64 Calderon St., Calumpang, Marikina.

Price range per person:
Php 200-300 (depending on the food combination)

Critique:
Pricey as it may seem but the experience over the food and the place itself is all worth it! Special occasions such as your birthday with your family, monthsaries & anniversaries with your lovey, or even when you just feel like eating at Cafe lidia is commendable.

Mama Chit's Coffee House

Mama Chit's Coffee House is located inside Marikina City. This place is so homey and have this nostalgic feeling when you tour your eyes inside.

A little less pricey than those of Cafe Lidia and known restaurants in the metro. And oh! don't expect centralized air conditioned, though the ventilation is good, especially  during this cold weather here in the Philippines. Don't expect wifi too for those net savy (like me :p ). Their food is delish, particularly their enormous Cheeseburger. Everyone should come and bite that Mama Chit's Coffee House dine in experience.

Operating Hours: Mon-Sun 10Am to 9 Pm (For those who can't clearly read the signage)

The cutest of 'em all!!! Their vintage fruit machine.

Told yah ventilation is fine! even on lunch time.
Told my lovey, they're the bagets haha!
